Research and Planning process

 Costume

Our actor was dressed in a grey top, jeans and boots and she wore her hair in plaits. We chose this look for our actor as we believed it was a simple and bland look. We thought that by doing this look, it portrays the girls age and makes her look even younger than her actual age. This was a good idea as the actor was portrayed young, it made our thriller even more scarier due to the situation and story line was about an older man which is automatically more creepy.

Locations

Our locations insisted of a forest and a kicthen. We left our locations very little as we wanted the thriller to be more about the story line other than the locations and sets. The forest scene was done very well as it was influenced by horror films. The location was ideal for the type of thriller we were trying to portray to our audience, as it wasn't too dark as it let through a lot of light and we liked the way it was a simple idea, but we created it to become more effective and eerie by adding the breathing sound in the background purely to create suspense and tension to our audience. The kitchen location was worked very well with our theme too as it was a simple, stereotypical kitchen that didn't take the attention away from our storyline and most importantly, the actor.

Props

The props we used in our thrillrt task were very limited for the same reason as the locations. We thought that if the props were limited and simple it would draw the attention to the actor and make the audience think more into what the thriller is about. The props included the book. We added the book into this scene as it made the actor look innocent and niave. This was just what we wanted to portray during this scene, as we hadn't seen much of the actor before this point, we thought this was a perfect idea to inform the audience of what type of character the actor is playing in our thriller task. Our other props included the props in kitchen which were things such as the apron in back, and the plant which we put there to give it a more homely affect, which again was used to show the innocence. The last prop we used was a torch, we used this to give a thrilling affect as the angle we placed it in made the actors face scary, which was our aim to scare the audience.

Fimling Schedule
Our filming shcedule went to plan as every time we organised to film parts of the thriller we all stuck to that time. It took a bit longer than expected when we first began to film as we kept changing our ideas to improve the thriller to make it even better than our original plan. Overall, our filming schedule was around two half days worth of filming and anaylising.
