After we settled in our groups, we watched several thriller clips that have been created by students in the past. From this we gasped the type of thriller we should be creating, so this really helped us understand what we should be aiming for.
We then began brainstorming ideas on a a3 sheet. We wrote all the ideas we had for the main topic of the thriller. Then I suggested a paedophile theme, and the rest of the group liked the idea and we all thought we could really expand on the theme and make it as thrightening and eerie as possible.
After we all decided on the main idea for the thriller we went onto the computers and as we were following the mind map as well as thinking and creating new ideas we were writing a step by step plan for the thriller.
After we were all happy with the planning, we started to create the company productions labels. Firstly we decided on the names for each company which was 'Black Cat Productions' and 'Firewalk Entertainment', we decided on creating two company labels.
After deciding where we were going to film, we then decided on the set and camera angles we wanted to use. We went through each of our steps and carefully decided which angle will help the clip look as best as it could, firstly starting with our first scene in the forest. We thought about doing a long shot of one of us running around but far away from the camera, then we thought of doing a hand held angle. We decided to go along with the hand held angle as we all believed this has the most natural effect as it makes the audience think they're in the scene, so it will be very thrilling. Also, many thriller conventions include hand held camera angle scenes as it is a lot more inviting for the audience the watch.
We carried on thinking of different angles we could use to make it as thrilling and interesting as we could, and we wrote them all next to our plan so we knew what we were doing when it came to filming.
